Archbishop Gregory Aymond will receive the 2024 ACCESS Pro-Life Champion Award at the Joie de Vivre Dinner on Sept. 5 at Metairie Country Club, 580 Woodvine Ave., Metairie.
The gala helps raise funds for the vital pregnancy-related care provided by Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans’ Pregnancy Services to more than 600 abortion-vulnerable women and countless families each year.
In his tenure as archbishop of New Orleans, Archbishop Aymond has regularly participated in the annual March For Life in Washington, D.C., rallying with hundreds of archdiocesan students.
He leads the annual Prayer Service for the Unborn for students and pro-life supporters at the Memorial for the Unborn each January to mark the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision.
He also hosts an annual meeting of high school student pro-life club leaders and moderators at his residence. He has served as chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on the Protection of Children and Young People.
