ST. MARTHA PARISH will host a Turkey Bingo, Nov. 23, 6:30-9 p.m., 2555 Apollo Drive, Harvey. There will be food, a parade of prizes, Christmas wreath raffle and more.
ST. BENILDE PARISH will sponsor a Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, Nov. 23, from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. in the St. Benilde School library, 1901 Division St., Metairie. There is no cost to attend. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Contact Val Hebert at [email protected] or (504) 427-0327.
ARCHDIOCESE OF NEW ORLEANS, Thanksgiving holiday for all administrative offices. Offices will close at noon on Nov. 27 and reopen Dec. 2.
ST. PIUS X PARISH will sponsor a blood drive Dec. 8 from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the St. Pius gym, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd., New Orleans. Donors will receive a mini-health screening and have their cholesterol, blood pressure and iron tested. Donors will be entered into a raffle for a $250 Ruth’s Chris gift card or two $100 Amazon gift cards. Register at www.thebloodcenter.org. Appointments are requested.
ST. CHARLES BORROMEO PARISH will host its 10th Annual Rosary Procession of Mary under the oaks Dec. 9 at 6:15 p.m. at 13396 River Road, Destrehan. Mass will follow. In case of inclement weather, the procession will be held in the gym. Call (985) 764-6383.
ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH, the 98th annual Mass honoring St. Lucy of Syracuse, the patron saint of eye diseases, will be at St. John the Baptist Church, 1139 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd., New Orleans, on Dec. 14 at 4 p.m. A first class St. Lucy relic will be offered for veneration. This has been a tradition of the St. Lucy Society of New Orleans since 1927.
