Our Lady of Guadalupe statue dedicated at Annunciation

The Knights of Columbus Council 1819 recently bought and installed a marble statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe in front of Annunciation Catholic Parish in Bogalusa. Father Angel Diaz, pastor of Annunciation Catholic Church, blessed the statue May 14. It represents the Blessed Mother's appearance in 1531 to Juan Diego and his uncle Juan Bernardin.

Knights Council 1819 members Teddy Drummond and Ricky Rogers prepared the grounds, using equipment lent by Bogalusa Monuments. Vaughn Gibson and Bob Ricca researched and obtained the $9,000 statue and base, measuring approximately 6'4", from Fines Gallery in Bonita Springs Florida.
