Our Lady of the Lake Elementary School in Mandeville has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a 2020 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, the highest national honor a school can receive.
“It’s wonderful to be recognized, and it is a fitting tribute to our outstanding faculty, staff, parents and students to receive this great honor,” said Frank Smith, OLL’s principal.
“This is the third time since 2004 that Our Lady of the Lake has received this award, making it the only elementary school in the state of Louisiana to be a three-time winner,” Smith added. “It also solidifies OLL’s place among the 1% of all schools in the nation. It is a great time to be a Cardinal!”
