Religious men and women celebrate 2,810 years of service

Archbishop Gregory Aymond will celebrate the annual Mass of Thanksgiving for priests, deacons and religious of the Archdiocese of New Orleans who are celebrating significant anniversaries of service April 27 at 2 p.m. at St. Rita Church in New Orleans.

As a group, the 55 jubilarians have served in religious ministry for 2,810 years. 

Retired Msgr. Henry Bugler, a 50-year jubilarian, will serve as the homilist. 

This year’s jubilarians are:

80 years

Sister of the Holy Family M. Romuald Cormier and Sister of the Holy Family M. Innocente Wiltz.

75 years

Sister of the Holy Family Angela Merici Luis, Sister of the Holy Family M. Laurita Oliver, Sister of Mount Carmel Angele Marie Sadlier, Sister of the Holy Family Maria Consilia Saizan, Sister of the Holy Family Lucille Stelly.

70 years

School Sister of Notre Dame Monica Marie Eilers, Dominican Sister Mary Michaeline Green, Sister of Mount Carmel Mary Lawrence Habetz, Salesian Father George Hanna, Marianite Sister Jane Kidder.
