Pallium Mass and Pilgrimage

From St. Peter’s Basilica, Pope Leo XIV presides at Holy Mass, with the blessing and imposition of the Pallia on new Metropolitan Archbishops. A reception at the Pontifical North American College followed the Mass on the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul on June 29, 2026. In the days around the Mass Archbishop Checchio hosted a pilgrimage through significant sites in and around the Vatican. He was joined by several cardinal and bishop friends including Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop-emeritus of New York and Archbishop-emeritus Aymond of New Orleans.
