Archbishop Aymond shares his message in advance of Respect Life Sunday on Oct. 5.

Archbishop Aymond reflects on the grace and blessings in the archdiocese in the years since Hurricane Katrina.

"It is a blessing to get back into a routine with things that are familiar. May I challenge you as we begin a new school year with football season, other sports and the various activities that come with Fall coming soon, to set a routine for your prayer life. As you drive to work, or drop children off at school, how can you engage with God in prayer and encourage those riding along with you to do so as well?"

"Please join me in prayer for the repose of the souls who lost their lives and for their families, especially those who have lost their children in the flooding. Please pray for the communities that have been impacted that they will know God’s love and consolation."
