“You Are Not Alone” is a parish-based initiative of the USCCB to offer ideas, resources and toolkits for parishes to accompany our sisters and brothers. This initiative from the USCCB provides ideas and models from across the country in Catholic parishes.

This Saturday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m., four seminarians will be ordained as transitional deacons during a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Gregory Aymond at the St. Louis Cathedral. Each day we will introduce the men being ordained: Brett Barrios, Joseph Ky Thanh Bui, William Sigl and James Vu. Joining them will be Allan Musosi Temberi (Archdiocese of Tororo). Joseph Ky Thanh Bui's first assignment will be at St. Ann Church and Shrine.

I have been made aware that many of our faithful families have chosen not to leave their homes out of fear of encountering immigration enforcement actions. In light of these circumstances, I am granting a dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass for those Catholics rightfully afraid to participate in Mass because of their fear. This dispensation will be valid until the individual Catholic determines it is safe to attend Mass again or this dispensation is revoked or amended.
