NOLA Catholic Parenting blogger/columnist Jerussa Levy is thankful her son had the opportunity to visit Medjugorje, thanks to the aid of Mother Mary, while he was backpacking through Europe.

According to the Vatican, 35 archbishops from 19 countries who were named over the past 12 months received the palliums. Four of them were from the United States: Archbishop Mark S. Rivituso of Mobile, Alabama; Archbishop Ronald A. Hicks of New York; Archbishop James R. Golka of Denver; and Archbishop James F. Checchio of New Orleans.

NOLA Catholic Parenting blogger/columnist Charla Misse regularly includes priests in her daily prayers, petitioning for their protection and strength and is incredibly thankful for these holy men.

For years a statue of Our Lady of Prompt Succor has stood in an alcove to the left of the altar of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Covington. Standing approximately 5 ½ feet tall, the statue, which was donated by St. Teresa Church in New Orleans, received an upgrade on May 31 during the parish anniversary celebration thanks to a dedicated parishioner with a particular devotion to Our Lady of Prompt Succor.
